At the New Continental, the largest independent hotel in Plymouth, we have a range of function rooms and suites to cater for your exact requirements.

From the ballroom, that can accommodate up to 350 guests, to intimate dining – all our rooms offer total flexibility and can be linked together to provide just the space you need. A popular dinner dance venue our large banqueting rooms all come complete with their own bar and an array of private dining options from standing finger buffets to seated dining.

Our experienced and dedicated banqueting team will be on hand to fully understand your requirements and will attend to the smallest detail to ensure your special event is a great success. We can advise on entertainment and dressing the room to help create just the right atmosphere for your event.

“The New Continental Hotel has been hosting special occasions for the people of Plymouth for over 150 years. Even during the Plymouth Blitz of 1941 the big bands of the day played to entertain the troops. During a Valentine’s dance in that year, a bomb exploded right outside the hotel causing a few casualties and badly damaging the hotel. The bomb closed the adjacent train station for good but thankfully the bands kept playing.”
